BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 13. Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Kazakhstan decreased 38.6 percent in value and 53 percent in volume, during the first two months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through May 21, 2023), compared to the same period in the last year, Trend reports.

Within 2 months, the trade turnover between the two countries amounted to 88,000 tons worth approximately $37.2 million.

Meanwhile, in the same period of the last Iranian year, Iran’s non-oil trade turnover with Kazakhstan stood at 187,000 tons worth $60.6 million.

Alone in the 2nd month of the current Iranian year (April 21 through May 21, 2023), the two country’s trade amounted to 43,600 tons worth approximately $21.7 million.

The main goods traded between Iran and Kazakhstan for the reporting period included agricultural and food products, tobacco products, petrochemical products, wheat, barley, various types of equipment and etc.

In total, the value of Iran's non-oil trade turnover amounted to 25.7 million tons worth approximately $15.5 billion within the first two months of the current Iranian year.

Overall, Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Kazakhstan amounted to 751,000 tons worth $320 million for the last Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023).

This is a decrease of 15.6 percent in value and 40 percent in volume compared to the preceding year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022).
