Mineral output of Iran’s Anguran Zinc & Lead Mining Complex booming

BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 14. The volume of open-pit mined mineral from the Anguran Zinc and Lead Mining Complex in Iran's Zanjan Province, increased by 27 percent in the first seven months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through October 22, 2023), compared to the plan, Head of the complex, Omid Fallah said, Trend reports.

The official mentioned that more than 590,000 tons of minerals were extracted from the complex by open-pit method in 7 months.

He also stated that over 92,500 tons of minerals were extracted from Anguran Zinc and Lead Mining Complex by underground mining method over seven months, which is 20 percent more than initially planned.

According to Fallah, Anguran mining complex operates in order to provide raw materials for factories in Zanjan province and outside the province. Within this framework, more than 640,000 tons of minerals were sent to the relevant factories for 7 months, representing a 19-percent increase from the planned.

As reported, Iran’s Anguran Zinc and Lead Mining Complex is operating under Iran Minerals Production and Supply Company (IMPASCO).
