Azerbaijan does not export poultry & egg to Georgia, Agriculture Ministry
Azerbaijan does not export poultry and egg to Georgia, the State Veterinary Service under the Agriculture Ministry told Trend. It was commenting the report spread by some media on ban imposed on the poultry and egg export from Azerbaijan, Russia, Ukraine and Turkey in relation to the spreading of bird flu.
The Service mentioned that Georgia as independent country is eligible to impose ban on import of different goods from other countries. For example, Azerbaijan has imposed ban on poultry product import from Turkey, Iran and other countries, where the danger of virus outbreak was.
Earlier Azerbaijan exported some poultry products to Georgia, but now the similar operations are not carried out, the Service stressed.
