5516 new enterprises have been set up and 283 have been liquidated in Azerbaijan during 2005, the chairman of the State Statistical Committee Arif Veliyev told todays new conference dedicated to the results of the previous year, Trend reports. According to him, among closed enterprises there are such, which could not endure the competence.
The larger part of the enterprises opened is registered in the trade sector. Their number reached 2130. In the building sector 771 enterprises have been established, in agriculture - 490, in the processing industry 400, 468 real estate objects have been also opened.
By observations of Veliyev, construction of housing estates grew, mostly in rural areas. The interesting thing is that construction works are by 90% implemented on the account of the population funds.
