Inflation Rate in Azerbaijan Over January-July 2006 Makes Up 6,5 Per Cent

In comparison with June 2006, in July 2006 the rate of growth on costs on consumer goods and tariffs on services made up 0,3 per cent. Over this period the costs on consumer goods had come down to 0,6 per cent, but the costs on nonfoods had gone up to 0,1 per cent. The tariffs on services remain unchanged in comparison with June 2006, Trend reports referring to the State Statistics Committee.

Recently the State Statistics Committee has established the reduction. As a consequence measures being taken, the costs on fruits had gone down to 5,4 per cent during July, the costs on vegetables had gone up to 6,6 per cent in comparison with June. At the same time the costs on meat had go up to 2 per cent, and the costs on diary on 1,3 per cent.

In comparison with the period of January-July of the last year the inflation rate had made up 6,5 per cent with the cost increase on consumer goods on 8,7 per cent, on nonfoods on 4,8 per cent, on tariffs on 2,6 per cent. In comparison with the same period of the last year, the costs on consumer goods and tariffs on services in July had gone up to 9,6 per cent, and in comparison with December 5, 3 per cent.
