KfW to Send Its Consultant to Appraise Situation Prior to Implementation of Cadastre Foundation Project in Azerbaijan

Germany`s Development Bank (KfW) is about to send its consultant to appraise the current situation with the development of the united system on registration of immovable property and cadastre in Azerbaijan. According to Natig Abdullayev, Head of KfW Local

Representative Office Baku, a day or two ago, a mission of the bank visited Baku and held meetings with the Azerbaijani Government and the World Bank (WB), Trend reports. They got acquainted with the preparation of the analogical project by WB, and it was decided to coordinate actions in this field as results of these meetings.

KfW expressed its readiness to give a lax credit at the volume в'¬2.5 m. on actions within the program of the united system on registration of immovable property and cadastre, and a grant to the sum of в'¬1 m. aimed at the institutionalization of the organization-beneficiary.

The Head of KfW`s Baku Office considers that this project needs about $10-15 m., but at the expense of the granted means, the bank is about to implement only the pilot project that was preliminary expected to cover Baku City. According to the latest data, WB is about to grant $20 m. on the cadastre foundation, though the bank`s strategy for Azerbaijan envisages only $30 m.
