Consultants of the project on support to regional development in Azerbaijan - GDSI Ltd/Ecorys Nederland B.V.S.I.C.I. Dominus (Spain), has launched its implementation.
Asgar Alakbarov, the EU Technical Assistance Program (Tacis) Executive Director, informed Trend that experts have been sent to Baku and presently the organization issues are being solved.
The project with the budget of в'¬3.5mln is designed for 30 months. It includes two pilot regions economic zones with the centers in Shaki (Zhaki-Zakatala Region) and Mingachevir (Aran Region).
Within the framework of EU Tacis Program it is planned to strengthen regional departments of the Ministry of Economic Development, conduct training, select advanced agriculture and non-agriculture enterprises for their further expansion and development.
