Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend / The State Real Estate Register Service of Azerbaijan, a South Caucasus country, has reported that the regions leave behind the capital city of Baku in mortgage lending.
Some 9,369 certificates have been issued by the State Service since 1 March, 2006, with 7,050 of them issued in Baku.
Over the first 4 months of 2007 the State Service has issued 4,552 mortgage certificates (2,482 certificates in Baku and 2,070 in the regions).
According to the Service, the difference in rate of mortgage lending between the regions and the capital of the country is gradually decreasing.
