Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend / On 3-4 May 2007, there was held a meeting of Working Committee of Federation of Euro-Asian Stock Exchanges (FEAS) in the capital of Ukraine, Kiev city, Baku Stock Exchange informs. Baku Stock Exchange was represented at the meeting by Khayal Abdinov, Chairman of Board and Kamran Aliyev, director of marketing division. The meeting was also attended by the delegates from Egypt, Jordan, Bahrain, Turkey, Belarus, Serbia, Montenegro, Oman and other countries.
It should be noted that the meeting of FEAS Working Committee was hosted by Ukrainian Stock Exchange and at the meeting a few important issues were discussed, including activities of some of the task forces under Working Committee, the draft of the agreement between Dow Jones and FEAS on building of a regional index on basis of trading data provided by the member exchanges, work with media, mutual visits of the member exchanges within the FEAS Bilateral Exchange Program, possible areas for cooperation with World Federation of Exchanges (WFE), and the calendar of the FEAS events to be held in 2007. Within the framework of the Interexchange Reports section of the meeting, the participants delivered their reports as well.
In the course of the meeting a proposal was put forward to create a new task force dedicated to marketing issues in the regional securities market. It was decided to consider this proposal at the FEAS XIII Annual General Assembly to be held in September of 2007 in the capital of Serbia, Belgrade city.
Baku Stock Exchange has been the full member of FEAS since 2001. In November of 2006, BSE was admitted to FEAS Working Committee.
