Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. I.Khalilova / Adishirin Gasimov, the Director of the Department on supervision over functioning of credit organizations of the National Bank of Azerbaijan (NBA), stated that the NBA is planning to complete its assessment of the level of capitalization of the country's bank sector by the end of August 2007. About thirty banks passed this process. This process allows banks to join the Azerbaijan Deposit Insurance Fund. The assessment capitals of banks are being held in compliance with requirements of the National Bank for 1 July. The capital of twenty-three banks for 1 July exceeded AZN 10mln. Some seventeen banks formed their capital between AZN 5mln to 10mln.
