Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree to appoint Badal Badalov the Vice-President of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR), the company said.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree to appoint Badal Badalov the Vice-President of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR), the company said.

Badalov replaced Gorkhmaz Huseynov. Earlier, the President appointed Huseynov the head of the JSC Azersu.

Prior to his appointment, Badalov led the SOCAR Social Development Management.

According to SOCAR president Rovnag Abdullayev, upon another order by the President of Azerbaijan, the SOCAR vice-president on environmental affairs Soltan Aliyev was released from his post in connection with shifting to another post.

During the meeting the head of SOCAR Rovnag Abdullayev said that social programs are always the focus of the company. Based on the challenges in the social sphere, the new vice president for social affairs has been given specific instructions.

Regarding the issue of continuous improvement of management system, the head of SOCAR noted the need for continued efforts to increase the flexibility of the management and prevention of bureaucratic obstacles that occur in some cases. Abdullaev defined obligations to certain subdivisions in this regard.
