Global oil market uncertainties were discussed by the International Energy Agency (IEA), International Energy Forum (IEF) and OPEC during the jointly hosted second Symposium on Energy Outlooks in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

According to the IEA's report, published on Wednesday, uncertainties affecting the short, medium and long-term oil markets, as well as the impact of income level and prices on global demand were discussed during the meeting.

The agenda included issues about growing role of non-crude liquids in meeting demand growth, shifting the geographical structure of demand, and refining capacity development.

Longer term issues examined included the importance of policy changes, upstream cost evolutions, and the key roles played by investment and technology in generating new supplies, the report said.
