Oil and gas condensate production in Kazakhstan decreased by 3.6 percent to 38.8 million tons in the first half of 2016 compared to the same period of last year, according to the data of the analytical service Energyprom.kz.
Oil production in the country during the mentioned period decreased by 2.4 percent to 32.97 million tons, while gas condensate production downed by 9.9 percent t[o 5.8 million tons.
In June oil amnd gas condensate production in Kazakhstan increased by 0.3 percent compared to the same period of last year to 6.4 million tons.
Kazakhstan produced 5.3 million tons of oil in June, which is 1.3 percent less than in the same month of 2016. Gas condensate production increased by 8.6 percent to 1.1 million tons, the report said.
Kazakhstan's proven oil reserves as of early 2016 stood at 30 billion barrels, according to the BP Statistical Review of World Energy.
