Work is underway to automate processes, introduce robotization and use in-depth data analytics in manufacturing companies as part of the development of digitalization of the fuel and energy complex in Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan told Trend on Thursday.

An Electronic Auction for the granting of subsoil use rights for hydrocarbons was launched this year in order to increase the investment attractiveness in the industry and minimize the human factor.

"It is also planned to ensure full automation of the conclusion of contracts and the process of monitoring license and contract conditions," the ministry said.

In order to ensure accounting and making operational management decisions, work is underway to launch an Information System for accounting for crude oil and gas condensate.

"The purpose of the system is to improve the efficiency of state management of subsoil use by improving the quality of its information and analytical support through the introduction of information technology. This system will be aimed at ensuring transparency in the process of oil production and transportation, as well as increasing tax revenues," the ministry said.

Since 2014, the Unified State Subsoil Management System of Kazakhstan has been put into commercial operation, which is designed to automate the collection, storage, analysis and processing of information in the field of subsoil use, as well as to support the adoption of coordinated management decisions.

"Also, as part of the implementation of Digital Kazakhstan State Program, quasi-state companies are introducing digital technologies at enterprises of the fuel and energy complex, where the technological re-equipment of industrial enterprises is carried out using elements of Industry 4.0," the ministry outlined.
