Highly efficient gas turbine unit commissioned in Uzbekistan’s Fergana region

A highly efficient gas turbine unit with a capacity of 17 MW was commissioned at Fergana Combined Heat and Power Plant JSC, Trend reports with reference to the press service of Thermal Power Plants JSC.
According to the information, the new gas turbine unit will help to cover the demand for electricity in the Fergana region.
It was noted that commissioning work is ongoing.
The implementation of this project will allow the enterprise to additionally generate 197.24 million kW/h of electric energy annually, as well as 214,500 Gcal of thermal energy. At the same time, fuel savings will amount to about 3.2 million cubic meters of natural gas per year.
In addition, at the first stage of this project in December 2019, a 7 MW gas turbine unit was commissioned, located 17 kilometers from Fergana CHP JSC.
The project was carried out in accordance with the decree of the president of Uzbekistan on measures to implement the project on implementation of highly efficient co-generation gas turbine technologies at Fergana CHP and Fergana Boiler House RK-3.
