The Russian diversified IT group X-Holding has launched the second phase of the project to develop a concept and roadmap for digitalization of the fuel and energy complex in Uzbekistan, Trend reports referring to the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan.

More than 200 digital initiatives developed by Holding’s expert group are presented at the two-day strategic session "Best world practices in the digitalization of the fuel and energy complex", which took place on 15-16 June in Tashkent (Uzbekistan).

According to the vice-president of X-Holding Stanislav Kiselev, the CIFROTEK project itself is being carried out within the framework of global cooperation with the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan to develop a roadmap for digitalization of the fuel and energy complex of the country.

It is reported that from February to June, the first stage was implemented - more than 1,500 offsite meetings were held, the seven largest state-owned enterprises of Uzbekistan in the fuel and energy sector were surveyed and the level of the current state of digitalization and automation of these organizations was recorded.

"Next, a roadmap will be generated. We expect that on the horizon of five years it will create the foundation for sustainable development of enterprises and the industry as a whole. We believe that this approach will become an example for the digital transformation of all other industries, not only in Uzbekistan but also in other countries," Kiselev said.

Assessing the current level of digitalization of enterprises in the fuel and energy complex of Uzbekistan, Stanislav noted the strengths and weaknesses, adding that many of the companies d are "aged" and the level of automation is quite low.

It is noted that the result of the two-day session will be the formation of a final list of initiatives and specific enterprises where certain decisions will be applied. Further, the documents will be submitted for approval to the governing council consisting of the Minister of Energy of Uzbekistan Alisher Sultanov, as well as the heads of energy companies. After the final agreement, the specialists of X-Holding will start creating a roadmap. The delivery of the project is scheduled for October 2021.
