Kazakhstan sees growth in production, import volumes of associated petroleum gas

Kazakhstan increased total production and import volume of associated petroleum gas in October 2021, Trend reports referring to Committee on Statistics of the country's Ministry of National Economy.

According to the statistics, this indicator amounted to 3.6 billion cubic meters, up by 3.8 percent on annual basis and by 27.3 percent in monthly terms.

Besides, in the first 10 months of last year, the total production and import volume of associated petroleum gas amounted to 32.7 billion cubic meters, which is 10.8 percent less than in 10M2020.

Its production volume in October 2021 exceeded three billion cubic meters (a rise by 17.7 percent year on year and by 24.3 percent in monthly terms), while the import volume was 552.2 million cubic meters (a decrease by 37.3 percent year on year and growth of 47.4 percent in monthly terms).

Meanwhile, 945.4 million cubic meters of the produced petrochemical were exported (a decrease by 42 percent compared to October 2020 and by 15.4 percent compared to September 2021), while the remaining 2.6 billion cubic meters were sold on the domestic market (a rise by 43.9 percent and 32.1 percent on annual basis and in monthly terms, respectively).

The volume of associated petroleum gas exported in the first 10 months of 2021 amounted to 13.3 billion cubic meters (a decrease of 18 percent compared to the same period of 2020) and sold on the domestic market – 19.4 billion cubic meters (a decrease of five percent).
