As many as 90 new gas wells will be drilled in the territory of Iran's South Zagros Oil and Gas Production Company (SZOGPC) over the next 5 years (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2027), Executive Director of the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC), Ramin Hatami said, Trend reports citing the company’s website.
“In addition, necessary repair operations will be carried out at the 62 wells in the company's 8 gas fields (Aghar, Nar, Kangan, Sarkhoon, Tabnak, Homa, Varavi, Shanol),” the director noted.
Hatami stressed that this will allow the company to significantly increase gas production.
According to him, a number of operations will be carried out to reach the company's daily production from the Aghar gas field 20 million cubic meters, as well as to increase gas production from other fields.
The South Zagros Oil and Gas Production Company (SZOGPC) are one of three subsidiaries of the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC). The South Zagros Oil and Gas Production Company currently has 9 gas fields - Aghar, Dalan, Nar, Kangan, Sarkhoon, Tabnak, Homa, Varavi, Shanol and 2 oil fields - Saadatabad and Sarvestan in operation.
