BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 18. Azerbaijan’s revenue from oil export to India significantly grew from January through July 2022, Trend reports via the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee.
According the committee, this figure amounted to over $1 billion, up by 2.97 times compared to the first seven months of 2021 ($346.18 million).
Besides, the volume of Azerbaijan’s oil export to India from January through July this year exceeded 1.23 million tons, which is growth of 391.170 tons on annual basis.
Totally, in the reporting period, Azerbaijan exported oil worth 16.4 million tons to international markets, down by 691,920 tons (4.04 percent) year on year.
Meanwhile, the value of the oil export abroad exceeded $12.39 billion, which is $4.8 billion (63.43 percent) more than in 7M2021.
The trade turnover between Azerbaijan and India in the first seven months of 2022 increased by 2.69 times compared to the same period last year ($439.8 million) - up to $1.18 billion.
