The volume of total assets of the Baku Stock Exchange (BSE) in the balance sheet for 2018 amounted to 8.795 million manats, Trend informs referring to the exchange's audit report Sept. 2.
BSE assets grew 74 percent compared to the previous year.
About half of the assets accounted for upcoming payments from credit institutions - 4.883 million manats (an increase of 51 percent over a year). The volume of cash and cash equivalents amounted to 1.411 million manats, having increased by almost 5.5 times. The volume of investments available for sale increased by 89.8 percent and amounted to 1.376 million manats.
Advances on taxes increased 13.6 times to 390,700 manats. Long-term assets amounted to 344,000 manats having decreased by 29 percent.
In the structure of liabilities, almost the entire volume (more than 99 percent) accounted for current income tax liabilities in the amount of 938,400 manats (annualized growth amounted to about 2.5 times).
The total capital of the stock exchange grew by 69 percent and amounted to 7.856 million manats, due to a double increase in retained earnings, up to 6.444 million manats.
