Azerbaijan discloses data for transactions on securities

The National Depository Center (NDC) of Azerbaijan registered 916 exchange and 98 over-the-counter (OTC) transactions, Trend reports citing the NDC’s statistics.
Some 130 deals with a total amount of 447.5 million manat ($263.2 million) were concluded in the primary exchange market, while 786 transactions with the total volume of 1 billion manat ($588.2 million) were concluded in the secondary market.
In percentage terms, the primary exchange market accounted for 14 percent of transactions and 30 percent of the money volume. The secondary exchange market accounted for 86 percent of transactions and 70 percent of cash.
On the primary OTC securities market, 30 transactions were concluded with a total of 14.9 million manat ($8.7 million). Some 68 deals were concluded on the secondary over-the-counter market, the total volume of which amounted to 74.2 million manat ($43.6 million).
In percentage terms, the primary over-the-counter market accounted for 30.6 percent of transactions and 16.7 percent of money volume. The secondary OTC market accounted for 69.4 percent of transactions and less than 83.3 percent of the cash volume.
In total, 160 deals registered by NDC in the total volume of 462.4 million manat ($262 million) were concluded in the primary market. A total of 854 transactions were registered by NDC with a total volume of 1.1 billion manat ($647 million) were concluded on the secondary market.
