The Baku branch of the National Bank of Pakistan completed the first quarter of 2021 with a decrease in loss almost twofold, compared to the same period of last year, Trend reports on April 27, citing the bank's financial report.
In accordance with the report, the bank's loss at the end of the first quarter of this year amounted to 69,700 manat ($41,000), which is by 65,000 manat ($38,235) less than in the same period of 2020.
The loss of the Baku branch of the National Bank of Pakistan was formed through interest income worth 127,600 manat ($75,058), which increased by 2.5 times while non-interest income worth 3,900 manat ($2,294), which decreased by almost 38 percent on an annual basis.
The bank's interest expenses for the reporting period amounted to 16,100 manat ($9,470) while non-interest expenses – 194,600 manat $114,470 (decrease by 0.4 percent for the year).
Ultimately, the Baku branch of the National Bank of Pakistan ended 2020 with a loss of over 212,000 manat ($124,705).
