Georgia not considering reducing bureaucratic expenditures

The Georgian government is not considering reducing bureaucratic expenditures at all, Trend reports via Government administration.

If under the current budget law the salary fund of public servants has been set at 1.61 billion lari ($511.2 million), it will now increase to 1.64 billion lari ($521.4 million).

As for the budget revenues, the volume of taxes will increase by 720 million lari ($228 million) to 11.06 billion lari ($3.5 billion).

In more detail, the tax increase plan is as follows:

• VAT - increase 399 million lari ($126.8 million), updated forecast for 2021 - 4.74 billion lari ($15.07 billion);
• Excise tax - increase of 218 million lari ($69.3 million), updated forecast for 2021 - 1.8 billion lari ($572.3 million);
• Income tax - increase of 90 million lari ($28.6 million), updated forecast for 2021 - 3.4 billion lari ($1.08 billion);
• Import tax - increase of 3 million lari ($953,895), updated forecast for 2021 - 80 million lari ($25.4 million).
