Azerbaijani banks' ranking in terms of volume of authorized capital

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 1. The share of the authorized capital of three banks (the International Bank of Azerbaijan, Yelo Bank and Xalq Bank) is about half of the total liabilities of the entire banking sector, according to the ranking compiled by Trend.

Thus, the total authorized capital of the first three banks is 1.9 billion manat ($1.1 billion), or 54.98 percent of the total authorized capital of 10 banks of Azerbaijan (3.58 billion manat or $2.1 billion), or 42.37 percent of the total volume of all banks of Azerbaijan (4.64 billion manat or $2.7 billion).

The total authorized capital of the first 10 banks is 77.06 percent of the total authorized capital of all banks in Azerbaijan.

According to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, the net profit of the banking sector as of March 31, 2023 increased by 94 million manat ($55.2 million), or 54.05 percent compared to the same period in 2022, growing from 173.9 million manat ($102.2 million) to 267.9 million manat ($157.5 million).
