Azerbaijani ministry adopts standards on information security

The Technical Committee on Standardization Information-Communication Technologies under the Communication and IT ministry adopted standards on information security, the ministry said.
According to the ministry, the committee adopted the four national standards for information security, developed on the basis of international standards ISO / IEC 27001:2005, ISO / IEC 27005:2008, ISO / IEC 11770-1:1996 and ISO / IEC TR 18044:2004.
The standards will be submitted to the State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patent for the relevant state registration.
The national standards for IT-terminology, based on parts 7, 28 and 34 of ISO / IEC 2382 were developed in accordance with the committee's business schedule for 2010. Experts are working to verify the compliance of the standards.
The technical committee on standardization also considers standards for placing the Azerbaijani alphabet letters on a computer keyboard and other issues.
