The volume of cargo transportation in Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic in 2021 grew, Trend reports citing the report of Nakhchivan’s State Statistical Committee.
According to the report, this indicator topped 16.9 million tons, up by 0.85 percent compared to 2020 (over 16.7 million tons).
Besides, last year, 105.95 million passengers were transported, which is a rise of 2.3 percent compared to the same period of 2020 (more than 103.5 million passengers).
From January through August 2021, the total income of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic from cargo and passenger traffic amounted to 36.7 million manat ($21.6 million).
