Kazakh Prosecutor General's Office does not exclude possible involvement of external forces in the riots in Zhanaozen, spokesman for the Prosecutor General's Office Nurdaulet Suindikov told journalists on Tuesday, Kazinform reported.

"We do not refute this version. The investigation will find whether external forces are involved in these riots," Suindikov said.

Since Dec. 16, 38 persons are detained for various administrative offenses in Zhanaozen. Some 10 people were detained on suspicion of crimes, eight of them were arrested. Oil workers and their relative are among the detainees," Suindikov said.
