When preparing the list, the UN approaches to the definition of creative industries were taken into account. In general, at the suggestion of the Ministry of National Economy and the Bureau of National Statistics, it was proposed to include 55 types of activities (Common Classifier of Economic Activity) in 14 areas - design, art, fashion, cinema, music, television, media, information technology, computer graphics, computer games, publishing, architecture, marketing, cultural education.

In particular, the proposals of Kazyna Capital Management JSC on the formation of a venture fund for creative industries, thanks to which it is possible to support objects in the field of creative entrepreneurship, were considered. The issues of the development of two creative clusters in the cities of Nur-Sultan and Almaty for the work and interaction of creative people were discussed.

The first such sites will appear this year on the basis of the Zhastar palace and on the basis of the libraries of Almaty. The meeting participants also discussed the proposal to continue developing the cluster on the basis of the Kazakhfilm film studio, with the involvement of international companies.

According to Smailov, Kazakhstan has the necessary human capital for the development of a creative economy. Now it is necessary to create institutional conditions under which it will become comfortable to engage in creativity in the country, and to sell creative products to the world market is easy and profitable.
