ASTANA, Kazakhstan, July 27. Kazakhstan and Jordan discussed the prospects for cooperation in the field of renewable energy, Trend reports.

According to the country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this was discussed during the meeting held between the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Jordan, Aidarbek Tumatov, and the Secretary-General of the Arab Renewable Energy Commission and Deputy Chairman of the Jordanian Society for Renewable Energy, Mohammed Al Taani, in Amman.

Mohammed Al Ta'ani expressed keen interest in establishing collaboration between his commission and Kazakh state-owned companies and private sector entities in the development of renewable energy. He also touched on the opportunities for knowledge exchange, including student exchange programs.

In conclusion, the ambassador gave an invitation to the secretary-general to participate in the "Kazakhstan Energy Week 2023," scheduled to take place from October 3 to 6, 2023, in Astana.

The discussions highlight the growing importance of renewable energy in both countries' energy strategies and underscore the commitment to fostering international partnerships for sustainable development and green initiatives.
