Any mass media of Kyrgyzstan has right to publish information from its own private sources, member of Ata Meken faction Ravshan Zheenbekov stated to 24.kg news agency.
According to him, the main function of the mass media is the progress of freedom of speech and information sharing with population. "Yes, the mass media not always can reveal their sources when they publish resonance information but this is not a reason to castigate journalists. I am against initiative of some parliament members who offered to request intelligence agencies to find out the source of information of journalists. Let's remind juicy publications of Wikilikes about the U.S. when the mass media wasn't made liable although they used own sources," said Ravshan Zheenbekov.
"I am sure that official results of the investigation conducted by the International Independent Commission won't differ significantly from those published on the site of 24.kg news agency," added Ravshan Zheenbekov.
