Russian military base in Tajikistan to reshuffle staff

Russia has launched the planned stuff reshuffle at the 201st military base, located in Tajikistan, Asia-Plus reports.
The first group of 150 servicemen arrived in Tajikistan on Thursday. They were conducted special training at the training centers of the Russian Defense Ministry. They are tank drivers, operator-gunlayers, snipers, bombers and intelligence officers.
In total, 3,400 servicemen will be replaced in this base by the end of November. The number of officers in the base will remain unchanged.
The 201st Russian base was founded in 2005. Its military units and subdivisions are situated in Dushanbe, Kurgan-Tyube and Kulyab.
