Turkmenistan continues introduction of electronic document management system

Turkmenistan continues work on introducing electronic document management system, Trend reports with reference to the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan.

In particular, a pilot phase of the electronic document management system has been launched at the state customs service. During this phase, the system was installed, configured and launched.

The system allows creating an opportunity for optimal organization of the office work and significantly reduces the time for work performing, which has a positive impact on the analysis and management decision-making.

The pilot version of the project is being implemented in accordance with the decree of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the creation and implementation of an electronic document management system and internet websites in Turkmenistan dated February 27, 2020.

Earlier, all Turkmen ministries, institutions and facilities have been ordered to introduce an electronic document management system by 2021.

In accordance with the decree, it was ordered to begin work in March 2020 and put into operation an electronic document management system and websites by January 2021.

The Concept for the Development of the Digital Economy, developed for the period until 2025, has been implemented in Turkmenistan since early 2019.

The concept is aimed at increasing business and investment activity, implementing advanced methods of public administration, creating new jobs.
