The Abu Dhabi Development Fund will finance the construction of a plant for the production of combined fertilizers at the Turkmenabat Chemical Plant named after Saparmurat Niyazov, Trend reports with reference to the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
According to the information, following the meeting of the Turkmen delegation with representatives of the Abu Dhabi Development Fund, an agreement was reached on signing documents on investment and attracting loans for the implementation of three projects.
One of the projects is a framework agreement on the construction of a plant for the production of polyvinyl acetate, including a road map on organizing direct investment on the basis of payment by products from the side of the relevant company in the United Arab Emirates.
In addition, a loan agreement was signed on financing by the Abu Dhabi Development Fund for the construction of a workshop for the production of combined fertilizers at the Turkmenabat Chemical Plant.
Also, a constituent agreement was concluded between the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Abu Dhabi Development Fund on the establishment of the Joint Investment Body of Turkmenistan and the Abu Dhabi Development Fund, as well as related documents.
In this regard, a proposal was submitted to the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to authorize the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs to attract, together with the Abu Dhabi Development Fund, investments for large production projects of the country and to carry out relevant work to create an Investment Authority in Turkmenistan.
