BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 11. The growth in the volume of agricultural and food production of Turkmenistan in January-March 2022 amounted to 164.5 percent compared to the same period last year, Trend reports with reference to Jeyhun News.
This was announced by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Chary Gylyjow at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan.
Much attention was paid to increasing the volume of manufactured products. As a result, the volume of manufacture of vegetables-melons and fruit and berry products has increased in the country, and the areas of perennial fruit plantings, vineyards, and greenhouses have grown.
Agriculture in Turkmenistan is developing rapidly. This is one of the most important sectors of the economy of Turkmenistan.
The main types of agricultural crops grown on the territory of Turkmenistan are wheat, cotton, rice, sugar beet, fodder, vegetable, melon, fruit, and berry crops.
