ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, February 20. The Garabogazkarbamid enterprise, located in the Balkan region in western Turkmenistan, produced about 94,000 tons of urea fertilizers in January this year, significantly exceeding the planned figures, Trend reports.
According to official data, over the past year the plant produced over 1.32 million tons of urea fertilizers for a total amount of 806 million Turkmen manat ($230.7 million).
The growth rate in the monetary account increased by 22.4 percent compared to 2022, when production amounted to 659 million Turkmen manat ($188.6 million).
Furthermore, over the past year, Turkmenistan exported over 828,000 tons of products manufactured by the plant to foreign markets.
Meanwhile, a large industrial plant Garabogazkarbamid tooled with equipment from leading manufacturers in Denmark, Italy, Holland and the US was commissioned in September 2018 in the Garabogaz city in the Balkan region.
