President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov signed a decree to dismiss the country's Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Elyor Ganiyev and appointed him as Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade Minister, a source in the Uzbek government told Trend on Friday.
In late December 2010 he was appointed as the country's Foreign Minister preserving his status of Deputy Prime Minister.
Ravshan Gulyamov, who served as foreign economic relations, investments and trade minister since August last year, has been appointed as executive director of the Fund for Reconstruction and Development of Uzbekistan.
At present, there is no presidential decree to appoint foreign minister, the source said.
