BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 28. The Uzbek Uzcharmsanoat association signed a memorandum of understanding with Uzbek-Russian Digital Holding on joint work in the field of digital transformation of the leather and footwear industry in Uzbekistan, Trend reports via Uzbek media outlets.
The memorandum is intended to promote interaction between the two organizations on the use of modern software and technological solutions for the digital transformation of the leather and footwear industry in the country.
The document provides for cooperation in projects of integrated digitalization and automation of all industry areas and processes related to the main activities of the association.
Digital Holding will also provide advisory support based on the existing global experience in the field of digitalization and participate in the development and updating of regulatory documentation in the leather and footwear industry with the possible application of the best practices of foreign countries.
Digital Holding is a joint venture between Russian MegaFon, USM Telecom, and the government of Uzbekistan.
The activity of the joint venture is aimed at expanding access and improving the quality of telecommunications services in Uzbekistan, in particular, through the formation of digital infrastructure in accordance with international standards, as well as the introduction of advanced technologies and systems in the areas of data storage and processing, digital marking and control of the movement of certain types goods.
