BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 26. Uzbekistan plans to harvest 82,900 tons of pomegranates from a total area of 10,800 hectares in 2022, Trend reports via the Uzbek Ministry of Agriculture.
Out of these, it is planned to harvest 44,000 tons of pomegranate from 7,600 hectares of land of farms and agricultural enterprises, and 38,900 tons from 3,200 hectares of household plots.
It is also planned to plant additional 10,500 hectares of new pomegranate groves in 2022.
