BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 13. Belgian Chemitex, European textile trader, has expressed readiness to improve cooperation with Uzbekistan, Trend reports.
The issue was discussed at the meeting between Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Benelux countries Dilier Khakimov and the CEO of Chemitex SA Erol Candioti.
The sides overviewed the potential opportunities for increasing the import volumes of Uzbek textile products to Belgium.
Detailed information was also provided to the CEO of the Belgian company regarding Uzbekistan obtaining the beneficiary status of the EU's Generalized Scheme of Preferences Plus (GSP+). Uzbek manufacturers and exporters benefit from unilateral tariff preferences when exporting their goods to the European market, including textile products.
Erol Candioti highly appreciated the cooperation with Uzbek partners and confirmed their readiness to further collaborate with the republic. He expressed willingness to explore possibilities for increasing the volumes and range of Uzbek textile products.
