TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, April 4. Uzbekistan allocates loans within the framework of family entrepreneurship development programs to self-employed persons (except for those who have a main job), Trend reports.
This is reflected in a decree signed by President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on additional measures to improve the financing of business initiatives among the population within the framework of the family entrepreneurship development program.
According to the decree, the loans are granted for up to 33 million soums ($2,600), and after one year, they can be increased by up to 50 million soums ($3,940) on a revolving basis. An increase in the amount of loans is possible with effective entrepreneurial activity, targeted use of the loan, and, if necessary, the application of a group of citizens of at least three people.
The loans are intended for the development of homestead farming, such as poultry farming, rabbit breeding, cattle breeding, beekeeping, fish farming, and a compact greenhouse.
Loans of up to 50 million soums ($3,940) without collateral are available to owners of homestead lands with more than 10 hectares of land area and tenants.
In addition, loans of up to 100 million soums ($7,881) without collateral are available for creating compact greenhouses on 10 hectares and organizing fish farming activities.
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan will allocate 1.5 trillion soums ($118.2 million) for cultivation, storage, sorting, processing, and export of high-yielding and export-oriented agricultural products by the end of the year.
