Speaker: Iran, Kyrgyzstan have much in common for cooperation

Iran and Kyrgyzstan have much in common for cooperation, Iranian Parliament's Speaker Ali Larijani said at a news conference today, 24.kg News Agency reported.

Larijani noted that powerful parliaments are one of the key common features between two countries.

"Iran and Kyrgyzstan have good economic potentials supplementing each other. We are interested in cooperation with Kyrgyzstan," he said.

Larijani further said there are all necessary conditions for the cooperation in the agricultural and mining industries.

An Iranian delegation headed by Parliamentary Speaker Ali Larijani has arrived in Bishkek, Kyrgystan on Wednesday morning.

During his two-day trip to Bishkek, Larijani plans to meet with the Kyrgyz president, parliamentary speaker and foreign minister.

The meetings will discuss the development of the parliamentary relations, creation of new opportunities to achieve goals of mutual interests, regional developments and ways to fight against terrorism and drug trafficking.

Following the Bishkek visit, Larijani will head to Tajikistan.
