By Fatih Karimov - Trend: Iran is negotiating with India and Brazil to build refinery in the countries, Abbas Kazemi, the managing director of the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company, said.

If the two sides come to terms, Iran will also supply the refineries with crude oil, Iran's IRNA news agency quoted Kazemi as saying May 9.

Brazil has put in a request for revamping and renovating a number of its refineries, he said, adding that India has asked Iran to build a refinery with the capacity of 400,000 barrels.

"Meanwhile, Iraq has requested for increasing imports of oil products from Iran. We are ready to boost exports to 10 million liters," Kazemi said.

Kazemi said in April that the export of oil byproducts has witnessed a growing trend in the current year, which began on March 21.

"We aim to increase export to international markets. Currently, with the exception of gasoline, Iran can export all other oil products in which we have surplus production."

At present, Iranian traders swap oil with Caspian Sea littoral states in the north and Iraq and Afghanistan in the south. "As in the year which ended on March 20, 2015, NIORDC plans to increase the capacity of bunkering oil products this year as well."
