Great Britain, Germany to recruit Iranian nurses due to manpower shortage

An official with Iranian Trade Association of International Recruitment Offices said that Great Britain and Germany have signed memorandums of understanding with the Islamic Republic to take on educated Iranian manpower.

Based on the terms of the deal with the UK, in the first phase 100 qualified Iranian nurses able to speak English fluently will be dispatched to England, Mohammad Hassan Ahmadpour told ISNA on August 30.

He added that all candidates are required to take IELTS test and or OET exam.

They would be given work permit to stay in England for 8 months to one year, the official said.

Ahmadpour further said a similar agreement has been signed with Germany where there is a dire need for skilled nurses.

The candidates will be required to attend training classes in Berlin in order to be able to find their way to the European country.

They should be able to write and speak the German language well, he noted.
