Iran’s Sefid Dasht Steel Company meets needs of 15 plants

The Sefid Dasht Steel Company in Iran’s Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province has provided the needs of 15 Iranian plants, CEO of the company Mahmoud Arbabzadeh said, Trend reports via Shata news agency.

He said that the company produced 1.2 million tons of iron sponge for this purpose.

He added that 12 trillion rials (about $285 million) were invested to expand the operations in the company’s complex at the territory of 425 hectares.

“In order to improve steelmaking in this complex, 8 trillion rials (about $190 million) are needed,” he said. “From the next Iranian year (starts March 21, 2019), with the commissioning of this part of the complex, 700,000 tons of rolling metal and 800,000 tons of ingots and billets will be produced.”
