Since the beginning of the current Iranian year (started on March 21, 2019), so far, Maroun Oil and Gas Production Company (MOGPC) in Iran's Khuzestan province has produced 500 types of equipment jointly with local manufacturers, MOGPC Executive Director Hamid Kavian said.

Kavian made the remarks on the sidelines of the 11th Khuzestan Specialized Exhibition of Domestic Manufacturing of Petroleum and the 17th Drilling Industry Equipment Exhibition at Ahvaz International Exhibition Center in Khuzestan, Trend reports referring to the website of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC).

The executive director noted that this equipment was produced as part of the company's project to manufacture 8,000 various items of complex equipment.

Currently, the MOGPC does not need any import for the production of effluent injection pumps, he added.

Referring to the process of collecting gases associated with oil extraction, the director noted that a contract has been signed with the private sector to collect about 2 million cubic meters of gas, and the company will soon minimize flare gas burning.

Thanks to using Mobile Oil Separator (MOS) and Mobile Oil Treater (MOT), burning of oil has been reduced to zero and thus, 115,000 barrels of oil were collected, Kavian said.

The MOGPC produces about 580,000 barrels of oil per day. Some of it is consumed in Iran and the rest is exported.

The company also produces about 36,000 barrels of liquefied gas daily and sends it to the Mahshahr Petrochemical Plant.

Along with oil, the company extracts approximately 560 million cubic feet of gas (about 15.8 million cubic meters) daily, of which 465 million cubic feet (about 13.1 million cubic meters) are shipped to customers. The company produces 7,200 barrels of naphtha daily and ships it for export to Mahshahr port. This production volume is expected to increase by 27,000 barrels per day with the repair of one well and commissioning of three others.
