Iran Khodro Co.'s passenger car production increased by about 20 percent during the first five months of the current Iranian year (started on March 20) compared to the same period last year.
According to Iran Khodro Co. (IKCO) statistics on Saturday, this industrial group has succeeded in producing 188,223 passenger cars in the first five months of the current Iranian year (started on March 20), Trend reports citing the official website of IKCO.
IKCO has also been able to hit the record of about 171 percent increase in heavy vehicle production and a 10.5 percent increase in the market share of this sector in the same period compared to the previous year.
In total, in the first five months of the current Iranian year, compared to the same period last year, the automaker was able to increase production by 40 percent (including different types of cars) and produce 192,000 cars during this period.
In August, the production of IKCO increased by 84 percent compared to August 2019.
