Ethylene production of Jam Petrochemical Complex has increased considerably, according to a report provided to Trend by the Public Relations and International Affairs of the Jam Petrochemical Company.

The production of the Olefin unit in the Jam Petrochemical Complex reached a new record of 1.2 million tons in the last Iranian year (started March 20, 2020) that indicated 62,000 tons increase compare to the same time in the previous year (started March 21, 2019).

A total of 1.221 million tons of ethylene produced in the Olefin unit led to production leap in other value chains in Jam Petrochemical Company and shows high volume of other petrochemical products including light polyethylene, heavy polyethylene, propylene and etc.

Jam Petrochemical Complex also had profitable sales last year based on a new record of its ethylene production. The company's sale was around $6 million and showed a 95 percent jump compared to the previous year.

The new record in the Olefin unit was marked after the operation of one of the biggest projects in Jam Petrochemical Complex that brought $600,000 profitability for each furnace in the company's Olefin unit and increase of production of two key products, ethylene, and propylene.

In addition to the high volume of production and fuel and energy consumption management, greenhouse gas emission reduced by this unit while thermal efficiency and productivity increased that were other achievements of the big project to remove obstacles for production.

Jam Petrochemical Complex is one of the largest producers of Olefin and polymer products in Iran after a decade of operation and having production units of Olefin, LLDP and HDPE, Butadiene and Butene-1.
