Iran discloses details of non-oil export from Qom Province

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 3. The export of non-oil products from Qom province, located in the north of Iran, amounted to 26,6 thousand tons worth about $29.2 million during 2 months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through May 20, 2024), the Director General of the Customs Administration of Iran's Qom Province, Esfandiar Derikvandi said, Trend reports.

He claimed that the province of Qom exported 37 different types of goods, including polyester, shoes, chemical products and food products.

Derikvandi noted that 27 countries, including Qatar, Georgia, Türkiye, Turkmenistan, Kenya, Lebanon, Kuwait, Kazakhstan, import regional products.

According to the official, Qom province imported 10,000 tons of goods worth $48 million in the first month.

Derikwendi said that in 2 months, the income of provincial customs amounted to 1.43 trillion rials (about $3.86 million). The income of regional customs increased by 38 percent compared to the same period last year.

To note, according to the statistics of the Iranian Customs Administration, in 2 months of the current Iranian year, Iran's non-oil exports amounted to 23,5 million tons worth $8 billion. In 2 months, Iran's non-oil exports decreased by 3,8 percent in value terms and 8,5 percent in weight terms compared to the same period last year.
