Azerbaijan, Baku, Nov. 3 / Trend E. Mehdiyev /

Most Azerbaijani migrants in Russia do not have problems as they know the Russian language, deputy chairperson of the Federation Council of the Russian Federal Assembly, co-chairperson of the Azerbaijan-Russia inter-parliamentary commission Svetlana Orlova told media in Baku today.

She added that at present, Russia has no problems with the Azerbaijani migrants, in general, the Azerbaijani Diaspora. The reason is the ongoing discussions between the governments of two countries and the decisions made to resolve the emerging issues.

There are problems connected with migrants all over the world, she said. After conducting the reforms connected with migration, Russia works much in this sphere.

Orlova said that the problems with the migrants' employment are primarily related to the failure to provide them with legal jobs and the fact that the issues of insurance and their places of residence are not resolved satisfactorily.

It should be stressed that the Federation Council has approved a bill. According to it, guest-workers must pass exams in the Russian language, Russian history and the basics of the Russian legislation.

The Russian government together with the state bodies of the Russian regions must ensure conducting a compulsory examination in the Russian language, Russian history, the basics of the Russian legislation for migrant workers, except for the highly skilled specialists.
