Komura to visit Russia on economic cooperation, territory row

Foreign Minister Masahiko Komura will make a four-day trip to Russia from Saturday for talks with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov, the Foreign Ministry announced Friday. ( Kyodo )

In the talks in Moscow to lay the groundwork for Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda's visit to Russia envisioned for around early May, Komura and Lavrov are expected to pave the way for more active discussions on a bilateral territorial row and the expansion of economic relations, Japanese officials said.
